South Korea’s $68 billion digital asset market is the target of a strategic partnership between LG CNS and Chainlink, improving the ecosystem’s outlook. Following the agreement, Chainlink (LINK) is trading above $18 on Friday in a modest rebound after testing a key support zone the day before. Strengthening derivatives metrics also point to a gradual improvement in market sentiment, lending support to the prospect of a further recovery.

A strategic partnership to develop Korea’s $68 billion digital asset market was agreed on Thursday between Chainlink and LG CNS, the technology arm of LG Group.
The formal agreement sees the two companies broaden the uses and distribution of Korean stablecoins, a digital asset market serving more than 11 million eligible users.
The press release stated: “The partnership also brings the full Chainlink platform into LG CNS’s ongoing work to build digital asset platform solutions for Korean institutions and establishes a joint collaboration to advance the technical standards underpinning Korea’s digital asset economy,”
Bringing together Chainlink’s technology standards and LG CNS’s institutional expertise lays the groundwork for compliant digital asset infrastructure in Korea, as well as global expansion.
By reinforcing Chainlink’s institutional presence in South Korea’s expanding digital asset market, the agreement points to a bullish long-term outlook.
CoinGlass’ LINK long-to-short ratio reached 1.16 on Friday, its highest reading in over a month, as derivatives data pointed to improving sentiment towards Chainlink. Readings above one signal a bullish bias, with traders positioning for asset prices to rise.

Funding rates for Chainlink also turned positive on Friday at 0.0057%. This means holders of long positions are paying those with short positions, pointing to a mildly bullish outlook.

A bearish picture emerges from CryptoQuant’s summary data for Chainlink. Large whale orders, overheating conditions and sell-side dominance are evident across LINK’s spot and futures markets, underlining a cautious, bearish bias among traders.

At $12.19 on Friday, Chainlink is consolidating with a neutral-to-slightly bearish bias. Although the price remains above the 100-day and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), at $11.53 and $10.98 respectively, the 50-day EMA at $12.39 continues to cap gains.
A Relative Strength Index (RSI) reading near 44 points to a mildly bearish bias, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains below zero. Together, these readings suggest bullish momentum is fading as LINK fluctuates around its short-term trend barrier.
The 50-day EMA at $12.39 provides the first resistance on the upside, with the horizontal barrier at $15.45 next in view.
Initial buying interest on the downside lies around horizontal support at $11.93 and the 100-day EMA at $11.53. Below these, deeper structural support comes from the 200-day EMA near $10.98, followed by the lower horizontal floor at $9.92.
